Meet Kelly

I am a visual storyteller. Whatever your milestone — a birth, engagement, growing family, marriage, birthday, anniversary, or just a typical Saturday afternoon — I will preserve your memories to last a lifetime. Let’s capture your story together. I can’t wait to get started!

My background

As a child, I dreamed of becoming a children’s storybook illustrator when I grew up. So it is a childhood dream come true to be able to tell stories through photography and to create art for others.

I earned my Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas with a concentration in Photojournalism in 2005. After college, I dove into the world of corporate communications working as a graphic designer for an in-house corporate creative team. The arrival of my daughter Maggie on my birthday in 2015 changed all of that and I answered my calling to stay home with her full time 6 months later.

Aside from photography, my hobbies include paper crafting, collecting antique bottles and vintage cameras, indulging in a pint of Halo Top ice cream, and watching anything on Bravo. My toddler Maggie keeps me on my toes and my husband, Jared, wishes I’d take a few (or a lot of) breaks from Pinterest looking up DIY house projects.

My Style

I am an on-location lifestyle portrait photographer. This means that I do not operate out of a studio, nor do I take stuffy or uncomfortable portraits. I strive to capture unscripted candid moments, and images rich with personality — yours. I post process my photos to achieve a natural color cast and tone without extra special effects or filters.
